Distributed Bio is excited to announce that Kieran Hervold has joined our team as the Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer. Kieran brings a strong history in antibody informatics to accelerate capabilities of our AbGenesis antibody engineering platform as well as computational optimization of our therapeutic antibody discovery efforts with SuperHuman 2.0 and Tumbler. Kieran brings over 12 years of experience in bioinformatics software development with a focus on computational immunology. He designed software to aid in the discovery and development of therapeutic antibodies at XOMA and Takeda pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Distributed Bio, he developed gene synthesis algorithms and next-generation sequencing (NGS) pipelines at Twist Bioscience. At Adaptive Biotechnology (formerly Sequenta), Kieran applied immune repertoire sequencing to the diagnosis of hematopoietic cancers, and was awarded a patent for Apative's clonoSEQ assay to measure minimal residual disease. This assay awaits FDA 510(k) approval, and serves as a benchmark in a Phase 3 clinical study led by Amgen.
