JP Bürckert, PHD
Director of Computational Immunology
Jean-Philippe ("JP") received his Master’s in Chemistry with specialization Life Sciences from the University of Kaiserslautern in 2012, and completed his PhD studies at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) in Bioinformatics and Computational Immunology. His PhD work on characterizing immune repertoires from transgenic animals and humans in auto-immune disease, cancer and vaccine design was presented at over 20 international conferences including the Gordon Conferences on Antibody Biology and Engineering and Keystone B Cell Symposium.
After academia, JP joined the Bioinformatics consulting firm BISC Global as Senior Bioinformatics Consultant, where he helped to establish the new department in Boston, MA. Leveraging his rare skillset in deciphering immune repertoires, JP worked with over a dozen small and large pharma and biotech companies in the Cambridge and SF Bay area providing his specialized bioinformatics capacity for their immune oncology, auto immune disease, antibody discovery and vaccine design groups.
JP is also strongly involved in the Adaptive Immune Receptor Repertoire (AIRR) Community of The Antibody Society (TAbS), where he organizes the annual meetings and leads the Communications Subcommittee.
