Devanshi Shanghavi is a bioengineer. She received her BSc degree in Life Sciences and Biochemistry from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai where she also successfully obtained an honors degree from the department of Botany and contributed to high impact research in developmental biology and biochemistry. She holds a graduate degree from the Professional Science Master’s Program in Biotechnology at University of San Francisco, where she worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Advance Research Methods course provided by the program.
After graduation, Devanshi worked as an intern at the Antibody Engineering group at Genentech Inc, where she was involved in developing soft randomization libraries and an in-house high-affinity antibody purification resin.
In 2016 she joined Distributed Bio as an Associate Scientist to contribute to the building of our SuperHuman library and taking lead on validating its functionality and screening immuno-oncology targets that are currently being licensed. In addition to antibody engineering, she has been involved in bringing online a new immune model for antibody discovery, Sus scrofa (domestic pig) and developing high throughput epitope binning methods during library selections.
